Spectacular Baroque design furniture from about 1910, this dramatic "bombe" china or curio display cabinet is walnut with bronze mounts. The palatial hand carved crest plus eagle claw and ball feet are beautiful.
The original polished finish is very fine with warm antique patina - there are few shrinkage separations from age, see photos. Old wavy glass panes are lovely. The individual bronze mounts and handles are masterfully detailed. Drawers have hand cut dovetails on this historic palazzo furniture, expertly crafted in Italy.
This grand cabinet includes an architectural platform base, the upper section is a separate piece for easier handling. Inside are later plate glass shelves with carved grooves for plate display.
Dimensions of this important scaled masterpiece are 62" wide, 22" deep and 100" tall.
