This "Biedermeier" period drop front secretary desk is an excellent piece to place in your office or library to conduct daily business and close up when finished for the day.
- 1840s antique Austrian furniture
- Beautiful flame grain mahogany, mahogany, & French walnut with golden patina
- Top surface has been refinished for durability. The rest of the old varnish has been cleaned and preserved with a coat of clear finish.
- Minor mars, surface irregularities, & shrinkage separations from age - see photos
- Patinated brass hardware
- Working locks with three keys
- Drawers have hand cut dovetail joints
- New leather writing surface
- Interior drawers are banded and have mother of pearl inlaid knobs
Size is 41" wide, 21" deep and 57.5" tall. Surface is 26.5" high.
