This architectural salvage crest with a deer head and griffins is from the Black Forest, where Germany, France and Switzerland meet.
Hand carved of solid oak about 1880, this picturesque fragment has a fine original finish. Waxed and buffed, all that is needed to maintain its deep patina is an occasional wipe with a soft dry cloth. The horns are removable for easier shipping.
Measurements are 50" wide, 14" high and 8" deep.
