Bombe Olive Wood 1920's Italian Tuscany Chest or Commode

This traditional genuine olive wood mosaic "bombe" chest or commode shows traditional artistry from the Cremona area in Tuscany, Italy. This elegant country style has been made in the region since the 1600's.

Hand crafted in the 1920's, the richly figured natural grain is distinctive. The top has been revarnished for durability, the rest of the finish is original with warm patina. Waxed and buffed, only an occasional wipe with a soft dry cloth is needed to maintain its luster. Brass pulls are original on this furniture.

The front right leg is warped as shown. Size is 45 1/2" wide, 18" deep and 31" tall.
