A bronze bust has the head of a "satyr," or a Greek goat-man, a fertility spirit of the countryside. Satyrs were companions of Dionysus and other gods, known for lechery and partying.
This work of art has a marble base and is around 100 years old. The dark patina is in very good condition with a few mars and dings for antique character.
Dimensions are 3 3/4" wide, 2 3/4" deep and 4 1/2" tall.
