A spectacular hand-carved sideboard or hall console cabinet has matched burl panels, green marble and a carved gold mirror. Dating from the 1920's, original glass in the center door is reverse carved and painted.
Walnut with book-matched burl panels, the gleaming finish is excellent. Quality is superlative in every way - doors are almost 2" thick and have working locks, bronze hardware is original, and the gorgeously grained marble is excellent.
There are carved capitals on the corner columns. Hand carving in burnished gold around the mirror shows especially fine workmanship, with some touchups and minor repairs, see photos. The large mirror has reverse etching and some "smoke" to show its age.
Dimensions of this antique furniture are 7' 1" wide, 25" deep 5' 10" tall and the marble top is 38" tall.
