Carved Triple Antique Bookcase, Beveled Glass

Hand carved of walnut with burl panels, a heroic triple bookcase has a center door with original beveled glass panes.

Entirely original German furniture from about 1890, this is remarkably well crafted and heavy weight. Drawers have hand-cut dovetails, the interior is finished oak. Three separate banks of shelves are adjustable on wooden supports.

Burnished nickel hardware, working locks and piano hinges are all original.

The finish is very well preserved with warm antique patina and character - minor mars and shrinkage separations from age - see photos. Subtle details accent the bold architectural crown and deep moldings.

This imposing library antique can be disassembled for delivery. Measurements are 78" wide, 21" deep and 82 1/2" tall.
