This heavy cast iron book binder press dates from the late 1800's. Used to flatten the assembled pages of a book for sewing on the covers, this American made antique still works.
Books up to 10" x 12 1/2" fit on the plate, overall dimensions are 19" long, 12" wide and 14" high.
