Signed by famous maker, "Chelsea of Boston," this brass ship's barometer appears to work, it shows local barometric pressure accurately. Intended for mounting on a boat, this nautical piece also slips securely into the mahogany desk stand. The polished case and spun dial are in beautiful condition on this maritime instrument from the 1970's.
Chelsea made precision ship instruments for the US Navy. Ever since Teddy Roosevelt was president, there has been a Chelsea clock in the White House. The matching ship's clock in photos is priced and sold separately, call or email for availability.
Case measurements are 7" diameter and 3 1/2" deep, the base is 14" wide, 4" deep and 9 1/2" tall.
