Cherry Antique 1825 New England Trunk Blanket Chest, Hand Cut Dovetail Corners
A classic 1825 era New England blanket chest or trunk was hand crafted of solid cherry with corner dovetail joints.
The restored finish is in excellent condition on wide cherry planks. Block feet were restored about 75 years ago on this American made antique furniture. The lock and key work. Inside is a small compartment for valuables as these were often dowry or "hope" chests. Authentic historic construction with wooden pegs is visible on the bottom.
Measurements are 39" wide, 24" deep and 24 1/2" tall.
