Norwegians are hardy folks and before the early 1700s, many lived in single room homes with no windows. Needing color and whimsy in their lives, artists began "rosemaling" everything in their homes. This trunk is a beautiful example of this centuries-old tradition that still lives on today!

- Pine with original iron hardware
- Original varnish has been cleaned and preserved with a coat of clear finish

- Case has hand cut dovetail joints
