The original "Clark's Spool Cotton" thread decals survive on this marvelous 1890 era oak spool cabinet desk. There is a covered inkwell and pen rest surrounded by a gallery.
Made for a general store, the drawers held thread for a bygone era when all women sewed. Brass "pumpkin" knobs are original, drawers have "finger" dovetail joints.
The finish is in excellent condition with a few ink stains for character. There is a natural saddle leather panel in the slanted lift top.
Size of this American made antique is 34" wide, 24" deep and 17" tall.
