One of the finest spool cabinets we have seen, this solid cherry 1880 era six drawer example makes an interesting jewelry box or collector cabinet.
Deeply embossed and signed "J & P Coats," advertizing on the back shows a spool of thread. The raised material is a sort of papier mache, and was hand painted. Brass "pumpkin" knobs authentic on all drawers which have "finger" dovetail joints, interior size is 20 1/2" wide, 20" deep and 2" tall.
The finish is in excellent condition on this American made countertop furniture, used to sell thread in a general store.
Measurements are 26" wide, 20" deep and 22" tall.
