There is not much country mahogany furniture, but here is a rare example. Entirely hand made of solid mahogany about 1830, this rustic corner cabinet has old wavy glass doors.
The finish is very fine with warm patina and lots of antique character - mars, wear, shrinkage separations and slight warps to the doors, see photos.
Locks are working, the lower lock is a replacement. The rough sawn back side shows wooden pegs and hand made nails.
Clean and straightforward lines are beautiful on this New England American antique. There are two separate stacking sections for easier handling.
Dimensions are 47" across the front, 82" tall and the sides are 32" from the back corner to the front tip of the crown.
