Hand crafted of pine and poplar, this "immigrant chest" or blanket trunk from about 1850 has hand cut corner dovetail joints.

The satiny finish is in excellent condition with warm antique patina. Also useful as a bench, the lock and key work. Inside is covered compartment for treasures.

Beautiful wide planks have hand planing marks on this lovely furniture. Well proportioned turned feet are later, and could be removed if desired.

Dimensions are 38" long, 19" deep and 23" tall.
