This late Victorian or Eastlake period chest was made about 1885, and has a hinged "sidelock" to secure all the drawers with a single turn of the key. This tall chest is made of solid walnut with burl panel accents and incised carving, characteristic of the period.
The glossy finish on this exceptional antique furniture is excellent, and the natural walnut grain is beautifully figured. Drawers are dovetailed and have the original brass ring pulls. Dimensions are 33" wide, 21" deep and 59" tall.
