Authentic American Empire period furniture from about 1840, this beautiful wall console table has a flip and swivel top that opens into a game table. Mahogany with matched flame grain, the classical lyre shaped base is well proportioned.
There are minor mars, losses and shrinkage separations for a little character, see photos. The deep satiny finish is in excellent condition. Beautiful as a console or with the top raised against the wall, the base is finished on all sides when the top is opened.
Changes in humidity and age have caused shrinkage separations in both top pieces, see photos. Touched up, solid boards may move again with the weather.
Dimensions of this classical American made antique furniture are 34" wide and 30" tall. The table is 17" deep when closed and 34" deep when opened.
