French Antique Carved Rosewood Queen Bed

An elegant hand carved antique French rosewood bed has been adapted to fit standard queen size bedding as shown, and dates from about 1890. The original finish is excellent with warm patina. The exquisite diamond matched panels are outstanding.
The wonderful Roccoco crests are truly amazing and show stunning artistry. Expert carving is in high relief, panels are diagonally matched. Rosewood has a sublime delicate grain and color, is extremely hard, and has a silken original finish.
Photographs show modern steel rails in standard queen size. Original carved wooden side rails are included, but if used, would require a custom size mattress and spring.
Furniture dating from the 1890's, measurements of this exquisite antique furniture are 5'4" wide, 7'5" long, the headboard is 5'6" tall and the footboard is 42" high. Companion pieces in photo are sold.
