An exquisite 1890's three piece marble mantel clock set from France has a statue of a harpist signed by famed sculptor, "Aug. Moreau." The graceful Art Nouveau sculpture, "La Musique," is also signed "France." Unfortunately, the maker's signature and city are worn and unreadable on the porcelain dial.
The brass movement runs accurately for a week on a winding, a soft silvery toned bell counts the hour and half. Richly grained marble has minor flakes at the edges, see photos.
Brass and spelter metal mounts have an original dark bronze patinated finish, the foot of one urn is repaired on this elegant antique set.
Measurements of the clock are 13" wide, 7" deep and 23" tall, urns with cherubs and grapes are 5 1/2" square and 14 1/2" tall.
