French Tulipwood Vintage Bureau Plat Writing Desk, Leather & Brass Mounts
About 50 years old, this elegant Louis XIV style "bureau plat" or writing desk is genuine tulipwood with inlaid marquetry.
The finish on the top around the leather panel has been renewed, the rest of the finish is original and in very fine condition with a a little sun fading at one end of this palatial desk, see photos.
Cast brass mounts with faces, pulls, and working lock are original on this handmade furniture from France.
The top is gold tooled leather, three drawers have dovetailed joints.
Measurements are 62" long, 34" deep, 31" tall and legroom is 24"
