Carved of solid mahogany in the Georgian Chippendale style about 1900, this tilt top tea table has a pedestal with claw and ball feet. Around the edge is a low rim or gallery.
The lustrous finish is excellent, enhancing the delicate inlaid satinwood and ebony medallion in the top. There is an old repair to the base, which is strong and sturdy.
Whether locked in the flat position or tilted up in a corner, this classic American antique furniture is beautiful. Measurements are 23 1/2" diameter and 27" tall.
