All original and signed by famous maker, "Globe Wernicke of Cincinnati," a four stack "lawyer's" bookcase is quarter sawn oak. The finish is very well preserved with minor mars and has been waxed and polished, it needs only an occasional wipe with a soft dry cloth to maintain its antique patina.
There is wear inside from sliding books, coppery mounts and pulls are all original. There is a small chip to one of the original wavy glass panes, see photos. This American made antique furniture has spent its entire life at a Wisconsin insurance company. Top and base are also separate stacking pieces.
Sections accommodate books up to 8" wide and 11" tall, overall size is 34" wide, 11" deep and 62" tall.
