A solid mahogany tilt top tea table or candle stand was hand carved about 1780 in New England during the Hepplewhite period. This graceful table has an original wrought iron latch to secure the top.
The restored finish is in excellent condition on this American made antique furniture, preserving restorations, stains and shrinkage separations from age for a little antique character. The sturdy pedestal has delicate legs attached with hand cut dovetail joints.
Measurements are 26" long, 17" wide and 28" tall in the flat position.
