Hickory Chair James River Mahogany Chest

Signed by the famous American maker Hickory Chair this elegant linen chest or dresser is in exceptional condition. See photo of the engraved brass plate "Hickory Chair Since 1911, Historical James River Plantation Collection."
Beautifully made of mahogany with a banded top and sunburst design, the front has graceful serpentine curves. Only about 10 years old, the brass lion head pulls are original.
The gleaming finish is excellent, there are tiny dimples in the finish of the smooth and silky top. Drawers have dovetailed solid oak sides, and size of this superior quality vintage furniture is 40" wide, 20" deep and 35 1/2" tall.
