Italian 1925 Art Deco Backbar or Server, Marble & Beveled Glass

A stunning genuine Art Deco backbar or server was hand crafted in Italy about 1925. The marble top and shaped columns are richly grained. All glass panes and mirror are beveled. The finish on mahogany is in very fine condition with just enough character to show its age, including mars and shrinkage separations from age, see photos.
Waxed and polished, only an occasional wipe with a soft dry cloth is needed to maintain its luster. The base is hammered brass, upper display cabinet doors have working locks. Lower door locks do not work, the center key is a handle only. Brass hardware and octagonal inlay in doors is original, a pull out shelf affords extra serving space.
The marble top has been polished and sealed to resist stains. Made for a small hotel in northern Italy, the upper section is a separate piece.
Dimensions or this sophisticated furniture are 80" wide, 28" deep, 73 1/2" tall and the marble top is 34 1/2" high.
