Italian Carved Gold Leaf Mirror

Hand-carved about 1930, this grand mirror has it's genuine original burnished Florentine gold leaf finish. It is in excellent condition but there is minor wear and touchups plus small shrinkage separations from age - see photos.
Stunning artistry is shown in the pierced Rococco shell crest and deeply carved detailing. There is a center display pedestal. Very solid master craftsmanship in this traditional style originates around Milan in northern Italy, called the Piedmont region.
Dimensions of this elegant furniture are 7' 8 1/2" wide, 2" deep and 4' 4" tall.
