Hand-carved of walnut about 1930, this grand set of six dining chairs are upholstered in natural saddle leather with brass nailheads.
This antique furniture was crafted for the ante-room before the main dining room of a palazzo, the scene for reception and "antipasto" or appetizers before the main late evening dinner in the larger dining room.
The original warm brown finish is excellent with warm patina. Stunning artistry is shown in the graceful design. The distinctive design and very fine master craftsmanship originate around wealthy Milan in northern Italy, formerly the Grand Duchy of Piedmont.
This antique furniture measures 18" wide, 18" deep, 38" tall and seats are 19" high.
