Italy Hand Carved Antique 1900 Full Size Bed, Angels or Cherubs & Capri Painting

This spectacular bed was hand carved in Italy around 1900 with statues of guardian angels, putti or cherubs at the corners and a hand painted scene of the Isle of Capri, looking over the Mediterranean Sea to the volcano of Vesuvius.

Solid walnut shows the three dimensional chisel marks of a master sculptor, the satiny finish is in excellent condition.

We have constructed a pallet or bunky board so that only a mattress would be used, keeping the bedding from hiding the painting.

Between the rails measures 53," a snug fit for a standard full or double size mattress, so measuring in advance is important. The demonstrator mattress in photos is 12" thick.

Dimensions of this palatial European furniture are 7' 1" long, 59" wide, the headboard is 51" tall and the footboard is 31" high.
