Hand made about 1900 as a washstand for a bowl and pitcher, this English antique with marble top and splash could be repurposed many ways - as a server, bar, or vessel sink vanity.
Mahogany with matched flame grain and inlaid satinwood banding, the original finish is in remarkably fine condition with minor mars at the edges and very little wear. Waxed and polished, only an occasional wipe with a soft dry cloth is needed to maintain its warm patina.
Embossed bronze hardware and beveled shaped mirrors are original, the drawer has tiny hand cut dovetail joints.
Richly grained marble has been polished and sealed to resist stains, there are small chips to the bottom edges.
A swivel mirror in the removable upper gallery is useful on this multi purpose "Edwardian" period furniture.
Size is 48 1/2" wide, 24" deep, 72" tall and the marble top is 30 1/2" high.
