A lovely six drawer lingerie chest from about 1930 has a marble top and exquisite inlaid rosewood and curly mahogany with marquetry banding.

The original finish has wonderful warm patina, and has been waxed and polished. Only an occasional wipe with a soft dry cloth is needed to maintain its gleaming luster. There is a long scratch on one side that has been retouched, but still shows, see photos.

Brass mounts, working locks and escutcheons are original on this superior furniture from France. Drawers have solid mahogany dovetailed sides. The marble top has been polished and sealed to resist stains.

Size of this elegant chest is 25" wide, 16 1/2" deep and 48" tall.
