Marquetry Marble Top Signed Bombe Chest

This authentic marquetry inlay commode or three drawer chest has a shaped marble top, and is signed by its Danish maker in 1977, see photo.

The gracefully curved bombe or convex sides and front have artistically inlaid marquetry of rosewood, burl, mahogany and satinwood. Lavish heavy brass mounts are original.

Richly grained marble is in excellent condition. Drawers have dovetailed construction, finished inside. The polished finish is excellent with very little wear and wonderful warm patina, enhancing the dramatic shimmering wood grain. There is a mar on the right side, see photo.

Dimensions of this spectacular hand crafted furniture are 37" wide, 22" deep and 32" tall.
