Crafted of solid oak and ash about 1895, a classic icebox is the ancestor of a refrigerator.
The ice man delivered a large block of ice to the top compartment, where it cooled the lower compartment, which was fitted with a removable original wire shelf.
Tin lined and cork insulated, this American made antique has original embossed hardware. Raised panels and a very fine deep brown finish are charming on this nostalgic kitchen furniture from a bygone age.
Size is 29" wide, 18" deep and 45" tall.
