Oak 1900 Antique Welsh Dresser or Pewter Cupboard
Whether called a Welsh dresser or a pewter cupboard, this oak antique furniture traditionally displayed family pewter or china.
Very well crafted of fine grained solid oak, joints are pegged and the door has a reverse raised panel plus working lock and key. Drawers are dovetailed and have original brasses.
The serving surface has been revarnished for stain resistance and durability, the rest of the finish is original, waxed and buffed. An occasional wipe with a soft dry cloth will maintain its antique patina. The back is wide wainscoting, and the upper part is removable for moving.
Size of this British hand made furniture is 54" wide, 17" deep, 70" tall and the base cabinet is 30" high.
