A splendid bookcase from about 1895 has leaded glass doors and an ebonized finish on solid quarter sawn oak. The satiny dark finish is in excellent condition, fine moldings and detailing are understated.
There are several hairline cracks in some of the "ice crystal" panes, see photos. Shelves are adjustable, the lock and key work on this American made antique library furniture.
Measurements are 53" wide, 15" deep and 55" tall.
