Said to be from Ohio, this solid walnut antique pantry jelly cupboard was entirely hand crafted by a skilled country carpenter. The satiny finish is in excellent condition.
Wide single planks of solid walnut form the top and sides, panels are chamfered and hand planed and square nails are visible. Drawers have hand cut dovetail joints and original knobs attached with wooden screws.
Used to hold the fall harvest jellies and jams to last a whole year, there was always a lock on the door to keep hungry children out.
Measurements are 43 1/2" wide, 17" deep and 52" tall.
