Signed "Ludlow Matrix Cabinet, Chicago," a true pair of right and left side opening tall typesetter's slanting composition desks and printer's files have divided type drawers. The right one has 22 drawers altogether including eighteen matching angled type drawers on the right side. The left desk has has 21 drawers altogether including nineteen matching angled type drawers on the left side.
All original including pinstriping on the paint, the only replacement is a blank where drawers are missing. These industrial steel antiques date from about 1920. A brass lever on the front releases a drawer with compartments.
Black paint on the tops is well worn on this American made antique printing furniture.
Drawers have label holders, and each measures 29" wide, 19" deep, the tops slope up from 47" high at the front to 57" at the rear.
