Entirely original from about 1910, this Arts and Crafts or Mission Oak period rocking chair has a leather cushion and is signed "Phoenix of Sheboygan, Wis."
Beautifully shaped back splats are very comfortable on this large rocker, which is solid quarter sawn oak. There is crazing or crackling from age on the finish, which has some wear as shown. Waxed and buffed, only an occasional wipe with a soft dry cloth is needed to maintain its luster.
The leather is stiff but intact and springs are still supportive in the cushion of this American made antique furniture.
Measurements are 28" wide, 32" deep, 41" tall and the seat is 17" high.
