This magnificent sideboard, server or console table in the Renaissance manner from the 1920's has a thick black "Nero Portoro" marble top from Italy. Walnut wood is richly carved and pierced, the finish is in excellent condition on this American made antique.
The richly veined marble has been polished and sealed to resist stains, there are professional repairs, see photos. Engraved brasses on the drawer are original, sides are dovetailed solid oak.
Dimensions are 7' wide, 22" deep and 36 1/2" tall. This palatial furniture was made for a mansion in Chicago's Hyde Park neighborhood, near the home of President Obama.
