An authentic Russian samovar set includes a teapot, tray and sugar bowl, engraved with Imperial Czarist period medallions dated from 1885 to 1904.
Solid brass with hand made marks and just enough wear for a little antique patina, this set has a traditional charcoal fired hot water kettle plus a teapot for brewing that rested on the chimney.
Some of the wooden handles have shrinkage separations from heat and age, see photos. We have not fired up the samovar, but it appears to be usable, hissing and welcoming as in every old Russian novel.
The samovar itself is 18 1/2" tall, the teapot is 6" tall and the hand hammered drip tray is 18 1/2" x 13."
