Exuberant carved lions support this 1920's sideboard or backbar that has newly arrived from a Renaissance villa in Tuscany.
This cabinet has bold artistry, and is hand-carved in walnut and cherry. The deep lustrous finish is excellent with warm patina. Lion paws form the feet of this spectacular furniture, which has cherub heads and charming irregularity and "character" - the warps and variations prove craftsmanship is truly done by hand.
Pierced grillwork and carved crown are remarkable. The upper gallery section is removable for handling, door locks and keys are operational.
Dimensions are 7' 2" long, 25" deep, 5' 2" tall and the lower cabinet is 41" tall.
