Signed "Silver Crest Genuine Bronze," this three piece desk set from the 1930's includes a pair of bookends and a desk box with cedar lining, probably intended for cigarettes or cigars.
The satin bronze finish has a little wear and small dings to the original lacquer finish, see photos. Each heavy weight piece has an applied nickel medallion with a standing horse motif, reflecting Art Deco design of the era.
Silver Crest was a famous American maker of luxury executive desk accessories. Bookends are weighted with an oak block inside and measure 5" long, 2 1/2" deep and 4" tall, the box is 7" long, 4" wide and just over 1" tall.
This piece can be shipped with insurance, USPS within the Continental US for $20.00.
