This dining set with table and 8 chairs was hand-made of solid quarter sawn oak during the Arts and Crafts period about 1910. Incredibly solid construction includes exposed mortise and tenon joints on the trestle base, and the top is almost 2" thick with a traditional "butterfly" joint, see photo.
The golden finish is excellent - this set has had a wonderful life and looks almost new. There are 2 armchairs plus 6 side chairs, all very heavy and sturdy, each has a hand carved design in the back with a quiver of arrows and hunting horn.
Arm chairs are 22" wide, 20" deep and 46" tall. The side chairs measure 17" wide, 18" deep, 43" tall, and all 8 have sculpted seats that are almost 18" high. The table is 6' long, 35" wide, and 30" tall. There is a matching sideboard available for $2450 - see photos.
