A wonderful country pine armoire or wardrobe was expertly handcrafted by a Swedish immigrant carpenter in Minnesota about 1860.
Hand cut dovetail joints at the corners, raised panels, wooden pegs at the joints and deeply hand planed moldings show the expertise of a master craftsman. The wax finish is very well preserved with warm antique patina, so all that is needed to maintain its glow is an occasional wipe with a soft dry cloth.
This historic furniture disassembles for easier moving. The inside is empty, and could be fitted with shelves or a closet pole as desired.
Measurements are almost 5' wide, 22" deep, 7' tall and the interior is 15 1/2" deep.
