This classical design grandfather or tall case clock has a nine chime tube movement.

• 1900s antique clock sold by famous makers, "Tiffany & Co."
• Signed "England" movement probably by JJ Elliott, premier British maker but not signed
• Chimes signed "Walter Durfee, Pat. Oct 6, 1896"
• Carved mahogany
• Old hand rubbed varnish has been cleaned and preserved with a coat of clear finish
• Minor wear for antique character
• Brass & nickel hardware, working lock & key
• Beveled glass panels, gold-plated & spun silver dial
• Working hand-painted lunar moon cycle dial
• Plays "Westminster", "St. Michaels" & "Whittington" chime melodies on tubular chimes on quarter and hour, can be silenced
• Eight day movement has been professionally serviced and cleaned, keeps time accurately

Size is 27.5" wide, 17" deep and 95.25" tall.

This clock needs to be "set up" after delivery - weights and pendulum attached and the case leveled. Most of our customers can do this as we walk them through the fairly simple steps by phone. The process is not very difficult, and it is also nice to know how to do this again whenever the clock needs to be moved. A few customers prefer to hire a local clockmaker at their own expense to make a house-call and set up the clock, which is usually not very expensive, depending on your location.
