Tudor Inlaid Antique Carved Dining Table

This spectacular carved dining table in English Tudor or Renaissance style includes a wide leaf and is made by famous American maker, "Rockford."

Expert deep carving in mahogany is beautiful, the well proportioned base has 12 legs. Accented with lavish burl, there is inlaid marquetry - geometric banding and floral designs - in walnut burl, satinwood, ebony and rosewood. The lustrous finish has warm patina and is in excellent condition everywhere, there are only very minor flaws, see photos.

The banded table has a 2' wide original leaf with matching carved skirt, it slides open and closes smoothly. Extraordinarily well crafted in America, this is truly majestic antique furniture from about 1925.

Table dimensions are 46" wide, 30" tall, legroom is 24 1/2" high, length is 5' 11" closed, or with the leaf in place, length is 7' 11" total. Matching pieces are sold separately.
