An outstanding Victorian "S" curve solid oak rolltop desk has warm deep color and patina plus raised panels all around. The gleaming finish is excellent, with just enough character - tiny mars and holes to show its age.
Glowing warm patina is beautiful. The roll operates smoothly, inside are tiny cubicles, drawers, pencil drawers and holders plus mail slots and letter holders at the ends. Brass knobs, label holders and carved oak pulls are all original from about 1900.
When the roll is closed, it locks automatically. Two banks of deep drawers have dovetailed joinery, there is a large file drawer and two pull-out shelves. This antique furniture shows superior American craftsmanship throughout.
The upper section is removable for easier handling. Size is 5' long, 36" deep, 49" tall, the writing surface is 30" high and the kneehole is 24" wide and 26" tall.
Chair is priced separately, call or email for availability.
