Victorian Antique Silverplate English 6 Pc Coffee & Tea Set & Tray London #35647

A spectacular six piece silverplate tea and coffee set with tray from about 1890 is signed "Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Co., Regent St." of London, England. The lavish grapevine motif is deeply sculpted and the tarnished finish has a rich "purple tone."

There is an engraved family crest and Latin motto, hollow pieces have a crown indicating a royal connection.

The set includes a tilting hot water kettle, coffee and tea pots, cream and sugar plus the magnificent tray.

The tray has a rim with grapevines that is removable for easier polishing. Size is 32 1/2" x 21" and 2 1/2" tall.

The largest piece is the hot water kettle, 0" across, 6 1/2" deep and 14 1/2" tall. The smallest is the creamer at 5" across, 6" tall and 4" deep.
