This early country Victorian version of a washing machine is pine with a hand powered iron crank mechanism. The patina and finish on the pine is beautiful, well worn with repairs over many years.
This antique from the 1890's actually operates with a powerful washboard action, but it would leak unless the tin bottom were sealed. A nostalgic reminder of a bygone laborious era, size is 2' wide, 40" long and 40" tall.
