This three-piece late Victorian Eastlake queen size bedroom set is solid walnut with burl panels and marble tops. Authentic antique furniture from about 1880, this outstanding American set includes a dresser or chest with swivel mirror, commode or small chest, and a large paneled bed, adapted with steel rails to fit a modern queen size mattress as shown.
Characteristic of the period, "spoon" or "chip" carving accents this matched set. Embossed rosy brasses are original, drawers have round pin-and-cove dovetails. The original marble tops have minor chips to the edges and small scratches, the walnut has a very fine finish.
The dresser has 3 large drawers, size is 44 1/2" wide, 6'6" tall, 19" deep, the top is 30" above the floor.
Bed dimensions are 7'4" tall, 4'11" wide, the headboard is 6'5" tall and the footboard is 35" high.
There are old medicine stains on the front of the small chest, see photo, and size is 30" wide, 17" deep, 36" tall, and the top is 27" above the floor. There is a pull out towel bar on the side.
