Victorian Oak Antique Davenport Desk, Pop Up File, Leather Easel Desk

A remarkable Victorian period oak "Davenport" or ship captain desk has exceptional features, a pop up file at the back and a pull out gold tooled leather writing surface with an easel rest.

Top surfaces are revarnished for durability, the rest of the original finish is very well preserved on this antique furniture from England.

Hand carved detailing is exceptional, drawers have hand cut dovetail joints and original wooden knobs. The left side has false drawer fronts for symmetry.

There is a pen rest, inkwell socket and covered paper clip compartment.

Measurements are 25" wide, 22" deep and 35" tall.
